Well I've finally "become out of warranty" as an old friend once said to me when you reach 70
( which is Monday 16th for those interested....)...so while I run birthday bashes for other muso friends reaching "memorable" ages...those ending with a "0" or "5", it's my turn to run my own this coming Friday 20th February 2015 at Club Ashfield....
Special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band on the night are, up from Canberra, Tony Thomas on trumpet and vocals, Ron Cook on the Club's grand piano and evergreen Sydneysider Jim Morrell on drums.....together with the usual Bridge City Jazz Band regulars...myself, Dennis Quinlan on Banjo, Colin Davies on double bass, Colin Beal on alto saxophone and clarinet and John Bates on trombone and vocals....
We'll have selected sit-ins from visiting muso's come to join in with us, as usual I'll make a large A3 sized birthday card with photos front and rear and we'll have  a big birthday cake to share around....

The music will be super..all we need is you...!

My grand daughter, Elizabeth May practices "Happy Birthday" with me....
