Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 17th March 2017 Dave Ridyard leads the band on Soprano sax & reeds for a Celebration of 1920's Jazz, on piano is Bradley Newman and Jim Morrell on drums...all special guests for the night...

Dave Ridyard is back this coming Friday 17th March 2017. leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on soprano sax and reeds for his 5th Celebration of 1920's jazz at Club Ashfield..other special guests on the night are Bradley Newman on the Club's grand piano and Jim Morrell on drums...they add to the four BCJB regulars, Mike Hallam on trombone, Colin Beal on reeds, Colin Davies on double bass & myself Dennis Quinlan on banjo making a great 7 piece traditional jazz band....
Don't forget your dancing shoes.....






Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
