Welcome to Sydney's traditional jazz scene...live jazz in Sydney......Club Ashfield is the venue and with its long residency, The Bridge City Jazz Band is the band....a nominal 4 piece we have three special guests each Friday taking the band up to a 7 piece swinging trad.jazz band...and this coming Friday the 10th November 2017 we've another Celebration of 1920's Jazz, part 10 with Dave Ridyard on soprano sax lead, Bradley Newman on piano, Pam Withnall on reeds, Eric Gibbons on trombone and Jim Morrell on drums....

This coming Friday 20th October 2017 at Club Ashfield, we've Dave Ridyard leading the Bridge City Jazz Band on soprano saxophone featuring another of his "Celebration of 1920's Jazz"...Brad Newman's on the Club's grand piano, Jim Morrell on drums and Pam Withnall on clarinet and Eric gibbons on trombone- .....linking up with the Bridge City JB regulars.... Colin Davies on double bass and myself, Dennis Quinlan on banjo....back from a UK motorcycle oriented trip...no riding, just some historical research....thanks to Cliff Parsons for depping for me.....
You'll be assured of a great night of traditional jazz....




Future special guests with the Bridge City Jazz Band at Club Ashfield and other BCJB future gigs...

 Club Ashfield is at 1-11 Charlotte Street, Ashfield beside the Ashfield Railway station on the northern side and the gig is up on the first floor in the bistro/Charlotte Room function area from 7.30pm to 10.30pm with the restaurant serving nice food until 9pm.....I always eat there on Jazz nights....
